Sarah is the founder of _ildsjel, a chartered architect and member of the Royal Institute of British Architects with over 10 years experience in practice . 

 

She has a wealth of experience working on a range of projects as a sole practitioner - from sensitive sites in the Yorkshire Dales National Park to working for award winning architectural practices in Scotland on large complex refurbishment projects to new builds and international masterplans. 

FOUNDER
 
_ildsjel is a design and architecture studio located in the Scottish Borders.

 

The practice was founded in 2019 and aims to form working relationships with clients and design colleagues to create sensitive design solutions through a highly collaborative process - communication being key.

_ildsjel is currently working on a range of projects in the Scottish Borders and excited for the coming year !

NOW
_ildsjel is interested in working with clients with sensitive sites and buildings of historical and architectural importance and interest.
 
The practice aims to do their part in addressing issues with the current global climate emergency, by where possible adapting existing buildings and improving what we already have to reduce our carbon footprint.
